Safer spaces

For all our visitors to have a good experience, we have a safe space policy. That means:

NO SEXISM

NO RACISM

NO HOMOPHOBIA

NO TRANSPHOBIA

NO ABLEISM

Individuals who do not comply with this will be expelled from the festival.

Talk Town is a debate festival where we learn and listen together. Talk Town does not tolerate discrimination of any kind.

We cannot create a safe space for everyone, but we want to provide extra space for people in vulnerable positions.

We expect all festival guests to listen to each other, respect each other's boundaries and make room for people who do not have the same privileges as themselves.

We encourage all participants and partners to actively work to ensure fair and diverse representation in the composition of panels, debates etc.

If you experience or see something unpleasant or cross-border at the festival, you can contact the info booth, and we will do our best to take care of it.

If you have ideas or suggestions on how Talk Town can become a safer place for everyone, we'll always be happy to hear from you.
