FAQs
What is Talk Town?
Talk Town is a festival and a space for conversations about equality, gender and feminism. In ordinary Danish, you can call it a festival that is arranged in the style of, for example, the Folkemødet on Bornholm. You can read more about us here or check out our event calendar to see what happens in the future.
How do I contact Talk Town?
You can always email us. If you prefer social media, you can reach us via Facebook or Instagram.
Does Talk Town have access for people with disabilities?
We are always working to become more accessible to all people. We do this, among other things, by consulting with the Danish Disability Council as well as hosting our events in places that, for example, have step-free access. You can read more on individual events, and you can always contact us if you have special needs or questions.
Are children welcome at Talk Town?
Yes! We love children. We are always working to make Talk Town more accessible to the little ones, for example, by arranging child-friendly events. It is an individual assessment whether you think your child should take part in a debate – some children find it exciting, while others would think it was "so boring, mother." But they are always welcome, just like everyone else.
How can I host an event at Talk Town?
Before each festival, we have a so-called Open Call, where you / your organisation have the opportunity to submit your contribution. Keep an eye on our website and social media, or sign up for our newsletter.
Is Talk Town free?
The vast majority of events at Talk Town are entirely free to participate in. However, a few events may have an admission fee, such as concerts or workshops. We always try to keep prices low and, as far as possible, make flexible prices so that everyone, regardless of income, can participate.
How do I find Talk Town?
On our events page, you can see the upcoming events. On the individual event pages, there is a description of how to get here. If you are in doubt, you can always contact us.
Who is behind Talk Town?
The Talk Town Association organises Talk Town and all its events. Our board consists of representatives from the Women's Council and Interventions. However, we collaborate widely, and for each festival, we have a lot of cool partners.
